At Caledonian Beds, we aim to provide a reliable, professional, and hassle-free delivery service for every customer.
Delivery Times
Most orders are delivered within 7 working days from the date of purchase. In many cases, delivery may be completed sooner depending on stock availability, production schedules, delivery location, and scheduling arrangements.
All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. While we always strive to meet estimated delivery dates, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supplier delays, manufacturing schedules, adverse weather conditions, traffic disruptions, courier issues, or periods of exceptionally high demand.
Delivery Areas & Charges
Caledonian Beds is based in West Lothian and offers free delivery throughout West Lothian and surrounding areas.
We also deliver throughout Scotland and mainland UK. Delivery charges outside our local delivery area may vary depending on distance, location, courier requirements, accessibility, and the size of the order.
For some locations, including remote areas, the Scottish Highlands, islands, and certain long-distance deliveries, an additional delivery charge may apply. Where applicable, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order.
Before ordering, customers should ensure that the purchased items can be safely delivered to the intended room or location. This includes checking doorways, hallways, staircases, lifts, access routes, room dimensions, parking arrangements, and any restrictions that may affect delivery.
Caledonian Beds cannot be held responsible for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from:
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
- Customer absence at the agreed delivery time
- Unsafe or restricted access to the property
- Insufficient space for delivery
- Staircases, doorways, corridors, or other access points that prevent safe delivery
- Other customer-related circumstances beyond our control
Where delivery cannot be completed due to customer-related issues, additional delivery, storage, or redelivery charges may apply.
Delivery Inspection & Damages
Customers should inspect their goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Any damage, defects, missing items, or issues should be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery, together with clear photographic evidence where possible. This helps us investigate and resolve any issues quickly.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Risk & Ownership
In accordance with UK consumer law, responsibility for the goods passes to the customer when the goods are delivered into the customer’s physical possession or the possession of a person identified by the customer to receive the goods.
