Products & Descriptions
We aim to ensure all product descriptions, specifications, images, dimensions, colours, and prices displayed on our website and marketing materials are accurate and up to date. However, slight variations in colour, fabric texture, stitching, finish, firmness, or appearance may occur due to lighting, photography, screen settings, handcrafted manufacturing processes, supplier variations, and material availability. All measurements provided are approximate and may vary slightly within normal manufacturing tolerances. Product images are for illustration purposes only, and accessories or decorative items shown may not be included unless stated otherwise.
Orders & Payments
All orders are subject to acceptance, stock availability, and payment authorization. Caledonian Beds reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including orders suspected of fraud, misuse, pricing errors, or unauthorized activity. Customers are responsible for ensuring all order details, measurements, delivery addresses, and contact information are correct before completing a purchase. Full payment must be received before production, dispatch, or delivery unless agreed otherwise in writing. Ownership of all goods remains with Caledonian Beds until payment has been received and cleared in full.
Delivery
Delivery dates and timeframes provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. While we aim to deliver within the estimated timeframe, delays may occur due to weather conditions, supplier delays, stock availability, courier issues, manufacturing schedules, traffic, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Customers are fully responsible for ensuring suitable and safe access for delivery, including checking staircases, hallways, lifts, doorways, room dimensions, and access routes before placing an order. Caledonian Beds shall not be held responsible for failed deliveries caused by restricted access, narrow staircases, unsuitable entry routes, customer absence, unavailable recipients, or incorrect delivery information supplied at checkout. Additional delivery, storage, or redelivery charges may apply where delivery cannot be completed successfully due to customer-related issues. Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
Inspection, Damages & Issues
Customers must inspect all products upon delivery and report any visible damages, missing items, or faults within 24 hours together with clear photographic evidence. Failure to report issues within this timeframe may affect eligibility for replacements, refunds, exchanges, or warranty claims. Minor cosmetic imperfections, packaging marks, stitching variations, compression marks, or slight differences that do not affect structural integrity or functionality shall not be considered faults.
Returns & Refunds
For hygiene and health protection reasons, mattresses cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once opened, used, unsealed, stained, marked, damaged, or removed from protective packaging unless confirmed faulty under applicable consumer law. Custom-made, made-to-order, personalised, upholstered, or special-order products are non-refundable and non-cancellable once production has started unless proven faulty. Returned items must be unused, in original condition, and free from stains, odours, marks, pet hair, misuse, or damage. Refunds, replacements, or exchanges are subject to inspection and approval by Caledonian Beds. Customers are responsible for return transportation costs unless the item is confirmed faulty under applicable consumer law.
Mattress Comfort & Settlement
Mattresses naturally soften and settle over time through normal use. Body impressions, slight settlement, softening, or variations in firmness are normal characteristics and do not constitute manufacturing defects. Comfort preference is subjective and does not qualify as a fault, return reason, or warranty claim.
Warranty
All beds and mattresses supplied by Caledonian Beds include a 2-year warranty covering genuine manufacturing defects and structural faults under normal domestic household use only. The warranty covers manufacturing faults relating to bed frames, structural supports, upholstery workmanship, stitching defects, and mattress manufacturing defects involving springs or foam materials where applicable. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, improper assembly, unauthorized repairs or modifications, commercial or rental use, general wear and tear, comfort preference changes, natural settlement, stains, spills, burns, cuts, mould, odours, pet damage, water damage, improper handling, transportation damage after delivery, or failure to follow care and maintenance instructions. Products showing signs of misuse, staining, unsanitary conditions, or improper care may void the warranty claim entirely. All warranty claims require proof of purchase and are subject to inspection and approval by Caledonian Beds. We reserve the right to repair, replace, partially refund, reject, or offer an alternative solution where appropriate. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Pricing
All prices displayed are listed in GBP (£). Caledonian Beds reserves the right to change prices, product specifications, availability, promotional offers, or product details at any time without prior notice. In the event of pricing errors, technical issues, or incorrect product information, we reserve the right to cancel affected orders and issue refunds where necessary.
Website Use & Intellectual Property
All website content, including logos, graphics, images, product descriptions, branding, text, designs, and layouts, remains the intellectual property of Caledonian Beds and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caledonian Beds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, financial, or business losses arising from the use, misuse, delay, inability to use, or performance of our products, website, services, or deliveries. This includes but is not limited to loss of income, inconvenience, loss of use, property access issues, delays outside our control, or third-party expenses. Our total liability in relation to any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant product purchased. Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits statutory consumer rights provided under applicable law.
Force Majeure
Caledonian Beds shall not be held responsible for delays, failures, or inability to fulfil obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supplier delays, manufacturing delays, severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, technical failures, government restrictions, power failures, natural disasters, or unforeseen events.
Privacy
Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, customers consent to the collection, storage, and use of information necessary for order processing, delivery, customer support, fraud prevention, and communication purposes.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising in connection with purchases, products, services, or website use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
